Day 29: Berlin, Germany

Morning run to the castle - our second 10k this year!

Diversions and patchwork roads on a five hour journey to Berlin.

Alex has been smelting gold again..

Day 28: Schwerin, Germany

Fluffy land-goer.

Another underpass complete with giant truck.

Pitched up by the lake with Ausies and intrigued Germans - some noisy neighbours at night!

Home to many bats.

The sights round town.

Captivating Carbonara made the real fancy way with egg; toothsome and inviting.

Day 27: Hamburg, Germany

Someone forgot to lift the lid.

We found a friend.

Light show at the University tube station.

The park!

Submarines.

Out and about in Hamburg.

I think Alex can smell bags.

Lunch by the riverside.

The botanical gardens.

And tropical gardens!

We sat here.

Then this happened. Alex was very calm.

Helena!

Hamburg's fancy new state of the art concert hall where Helena got us free tickets to watch her play with the London Philharmonia Orchestra!!

We might be underdressed.

This was incredible.

A metre of beer with Helena and Tom, before drinking and chinwagging late into the night. Great to see friends! :)
